My father was a veteran of World War II. He was part of the 12th Air Force and served as a tail-gunner on a B-25, flying 49 missions in the Italian Theater. Before he died in 2013, I asked him to share his thoughts on War for my students. I’m posting it here in his hand-writing — he was 88 years old at the time.
