Greetings! My name is Paul Rykken, and I help lead “Faithful Conversations” — our adult study efforts — at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls, Wisconsin (ELCA). As we work to further develop our digital footprint, this class is designed to introduce you to the study of the Bible. Whether you are new to the scriptures, or need a refresher, we hope you will find this guide helpful.
It is best to have your Bible out for various references as you walk through the study.
Thanks to Pastor Jen Hatleli for her wise consultation throughout the process of developing the class and the blog and her ongoing support of both!

Session 4: Growing in our Approach to Bible Study
The two sources on the right are a great place to start with becoming consistent with your reading of the Bible! Check them out!
Here are two great books that we recommend to assist you in your faith journey! Both are available at a reasonable cost!

Thanks to the Lectionary Study Group that meets on Sunday mornings at ELC! As we journey through our faith lives together, our conversations inspire me to gain more knowledge of the Bible! (Seated): Jerry Humphrey, Kris Humprey, LuAnn Aschenbrenner, and Mary Rykken. (Standing): Rollie Lee, Jim Perrin, Sue Perrin, and Joy Fossum. Regular members not pictured: Anne Lunda, Sara Gillett and Cindy Moore.
